Color - Footwear

As a Converse Color Designer, your role is to enhance the Converse product experience by focusing on the art and science of Color application, specifically in footwear.

You will utilize color to help us create a premium and recognizable brand identity in the marketplace, ensuring Converse stays at the forefront of innovation and trend relevancy. Each season, Converse sets its own creative strategy and color direction, and your design work will contribute to and reinforce this strategy. With the guidance and mentorship of our current color team members, you will understand how to apply color to product by considering trend research, storytelling and application techniques such as effects, dyes, and finishes. Above it all, a special focus will be put on trend research in order to inform all of your decisions. This role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional partners, who will ensure that your creations can be manufactured efficiently, meet cost targets, and are accurately prepared for sampling. Design management will work the closest with you, allowing you to gain valuable leadership experience, enhance your design skills, and develop a deep understanding of Converse's design ethos, products, and processes.
