Product Manager Lead - Converse

Working at Converse provides a unique opportunity to be part of a small company that operates within a much larger parent company. You will have access to industry and parent company authorities and tools across many capabilities within technology that may not be available to a similar role elsewhere. This role will report to the Digital Product Director.


This role will collaborate as part of a small technical team, and engage with business partners, to deliver long and short term business capabilities against a defined technology roadmap. Responsibilities will be across North America and Western Europe geographies, and although an understanding of the full eCommerce ecosystem will be required, this role will initially focus the areas of Payment/Finance and Customer Service technologies.


As a team Lead, this role will be the standard bearer for Product Model best tools and practices, and a mentor to the other Product Managers on the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Technical domain expert on eCommerce platforms and supporting tools
  • Stay up to date on relevant Technology trends
  • Provide technical Solutions options to meet business requirements
  • Ensure secure methods of sensitive data in transit and at rest
  • Capture Technical debt and work with solution architect to track and mitigate
  • Define Technology roadmap priorities
  • Work with business on product prioritization and understand business capability roadmap
  • Define stories in preparation for sprints
  • Groom backlog on regular cadence
  • Manage daily activities of engineering teams; track capacity and velocity
  • Keep current with vendor capability roadmaps

Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of the Agile principles and methodologies and how they’re applied in workplace culture
  • Able to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of the relation between business process and the Products in the Program
  • Effective teamwork and relationship management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally
  • Experience resolving issues with higher levels of management
  • Experience leading cross-functional work
  • Proven ability to respond to and prioritize changing demands effectively
  • Experience leading others in resolving complex issues
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs
  • Experience in developing innovative solutions

Qualifications:
  • Technological knowledge of relevant eCommerce technologies
  • 5+ years of Product management experience
  • Ability to develop tech solutions from business requirements
  • Understanding of Information Security best practices
  • Ability to track and report on development capacity and velocity
  • Understand how technology solutions tie back to business strategy
  • Experience leading development teams
  • Familiarity with SDLC tools and methodologies, JIRA preferred
  • Management of Technical Debt and articulation of Risks
  • Experience working with SAAS
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and influencing skill
  • Previous experience as a team lead
