As the Finance Manager for the Converse North America team, you will join one of the most iconic global consumer brands. As a Finance Manager, you'll actively interpret and review financial results with business leaders, including trends/issues and opportunities, to drive actionable responses, participate in functional discussions and initiatives across departments and provide input into business unit planning. You will also play a key role in activities related to Converse’s Financial Planning processes (forecasting, budgeting and out-year planning), which provides unique visibility to all P&L levers and financial metrics across the North America business portfolio. You'll develop internal and/or external partnerships that leverage resources and improve business unit responsiveness; prepare and distribute timely and insightful financial analysis of pertinent information to determine progress against strategic plan, budget, forecast, and to support external financial decisions. You will effectively partner with a broad set of stakeholders within Finance, Sales, Integrated Marketplace, Operations, etc. in the areas of:
• Preparing and owning the financial model that supports both the 3-year Strategic Review and Annual Operating Plan
• Implement the monthly forecasting process for North America and by integrated marketplace dimension
• Monitor progress against budgets/targets and work with leaders to ensure accountability; and working capital is efficiently and effectively being used
• Help generate budgets that incorporate strategic business plan objectives based on appropriate assumptions
• Providing input and commentary related to actuals performance and go forward forecasts
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to clearly present risks/opportunities
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis in support of strategic initiatives and improving profitability. This may include analysis on new business opportunities, which could include scenario and investment analysis
• In addition, you’ll work towards streamlining processes and tools in respect to business planning, aiming to improve efficiencies without sacrificing quality

To succeed in the role, you must be a self-starter who can work with limited oversight. You must possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail paired with the ability to identify the bigger picture, a excellent work ethic and a desire to continuously learn and help evolve the department and how we service our internal customers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field with emphasis in finance or accounting
  • MBA is a plus but not required
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in finance, strategic planning, investment analysis, economic profit analysis, accounting and/or budgeting at a Fortune 500 company
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills while being independent and resourceful
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and being resourceful in solving problems autonomously
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent information seeking skills and drive to make things happen
  • Ability to exercise high degree of professionalism
  • Client service attitude
  • Innate desire to continuously explore, learn, and exercise intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to pass a 7-year background investigation
